Mission
As a British-South Asian intersectional feminist psychologist, I am deeply committed to advocating for the diverse experiences of individuals, particularly within the South Asian diaspora. I invite collaboration from South Asian activists, who would like to make sense of their unique experiences and identities. My goal is to amplify voices that are often overlooked and promote understanding across cultural narratives.

In my journey as a mother of three young children, I have gained valuable insights into the challenges and rewards of multigenerational living and motherhood. I understand the cultural expectations that shape family dynamics and how they impact mental health and well-being. This personal experience informs my practice and advocacy efforts.

To further my mission, I founded MultiGen Zen CIC, a social community enterprise dedicated to supporting multigenerational living. With projections indicating that multigenerational households will triple by 2040, my initiative aims to address the unique challenges faced by these families. Through MultiGen Zen, I aspire to provide grassroots support and resources to those who need it most, alleviating some of the pressures on the NHS.

In addition to my community work, I am engaged in academia at the University of the West of England (UWE), where I contribute to the development of future mental health professionals. I also lecture at University College London (UCL), sharing my expertise and passion for psychology with students eager to make a difference.

As a TEDx speaker, I share insights on intergenerational trauma, social justice, and the importance of building supportive communities. My advocacy work reflects my lifelong commitment to addressing the complexities of multigenerational living and promoting mental well-being.
